Athearn Genesis stock#G4410 released in 2002
In 1999 Gunderson began producting the Auto-Max articulated auto rack car. This new car can carry 22 SUVs on three sets of internal ramps. Pushing the operational & dearance limits of the railroad industry, the prototype is a massive car over 140' long & over 20' tall from the railhead. Athearn has captured the massive lines and unique articulation of this car in its Genesis line. The model is fully assembled with full articulation & flexible diaphragm. (Athearn's ad Nov., 2002)
