The Savannah State Docks Railroad was a switching road owned by the Georgia Ports Authority, operating as much as 25 miles of track connecting mainline railroads and dock facilities in Savannah, Georgia and participated in the Per Diem program in the 1970’s to upgrade their fleet with modern freight cars.
