0p9IMG_9394.jpgThe Pennsy introduced 20 40-foot PS-1 boxcars equipped with P-S Cushion Underframe in 1954, and Walthers commercialized 13 of them as HO scale models in 1987.

"Mitchell's," which is shown on the price tag, had the official name Mitchell's Family Store, was known for second-hand brass sales, and located in Wilmington, Delaware. Their advertisement in MR magazine was continued from the May 1971 issue to the November 2007 issue.

Mitchell, SR died at the age of 91 on October 18, 2018. He was a pilot working for the Army Air Corps from Ithaca, New York. After marriage, he opened a sewing and vacuum store in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. In 1953, he was asked by his father Ray Mitchell to move to Wilmington, and with his parents, brothers and sisters, opened stores called Mitchell's Variety and Mitchell's Family Store in Fairfax's Shopping Center. And they grew up to be the central tenant of the shopping center. He also likes making things from a young age, his hobbies were collecting and producing boats and brass locomotives, and made woodworking a special skill and made display cases for the store. Mitchell's Trains, Toys and Hobbies, which the descendants took over, were closed in October 2008. The manager of the hobby department operates Daug's Trains, Toys & Hobbies in Claymont, DE.
