実車は元SLSF 78500-78749（1975年製）で、BN への改番（419100-419349）に際してほとんどはロゴレスとなったが、早期に塗り直された一部にラージロゴがあった。 　モデルのタネ車はAccurailのCF-4600。プロトタイプの製造時期と車体断面が一緒。車体中央部を使った理由は、側板の垂直溶接ビード5本を活かして、かつ軒部分の水平2本のリブを継ぎ目無しに見せるため。側板の厚さをそのままとしたのは、改造であることのアピール。車端の柵は切り出して再利用。妻板は浮かせて取付。別に手当したのはPlanoの屋根歩み板（Morton丸孔タイプ）のみ。ペイントはサフェーサーの色。デカールはMicroscale製を自作で補った。

The prototype is one of the "plate B" series BN 419100-419349 (former SLSF 78500-78749 built in 1975). Most of the BN cars were repainted with logoless scheme, but some had large logo scheme. The starting point was an Accurail CF-4600 model. The car section is the same. The central part was used. The reasons are to utilize the five vertical welded beads on the side plates and to make the horizontal two ribs of the eaves look seamless. The thickness of the side plate remains to appeal the kit bashing. The cages at both ends were cut out and reused. The end plates are mounted floating. The only other thing I got was the roof walk from Plano (Morton round hole type). The gray color is surfacer. The decals were MicroScale products and homemade ones.
