このノーフォーク・サザンは現行の鉄道ではなく、1982年まで存在した初代（ウキペディア英語版）のこと。モデルについては、箱に同梱されていた右の説明書（クリックで拡大）に記されている。なお、1992年のNMRA定期総会はオハイオ州コロンバスで開催されているので、ここにある"Convention"は、支部独自のもの。
