Cushion-Car Catch Phrases in the Sixties
 | Hydra-Cushion which SP was introduced in 1957, had a major impact on freight transportation. Through the Sixties, various cushion underframes ware deveroped. Many railroads adopted them aggressively, and showed the equipment on thire freight car sides. Right figure was quoted from the August 1967 issue of the MR magazine. See a thread of MR forum. |
